Goal

The goal of this task is to manage Azure AD user accounts. This includes manually creating a user, adding multiple users via the bulk insert feature, and updating user information; and logging in to the Microsoft cloud app portal as a user.

Pre-requisites

A non-production Azure subscription
Access to a non-production Azure AD tenant
The ability to download and upload files
A text editor. Optionally Microsoft Excel

Pre-requisite setup

There is no pre-requisite setup for this task.

Requirement 1: Create users

In this requirement you must create an Azure AD user. Use the Azure portal to create a user in your Azure AD tenant with the following settings:

Usage location	United States
Job title	Breaker of things
Department	QA

Requirement 2: Bulk create users

For this requirement, you will use the bulk create feature of Azure AD to create three users. To complete this task:

Download a sample CSV file.
Edit the CSV file using a text editor or Excel to define the following users:

First user:

Setting	Value
Name	Bulk user 1
User name	bulk1@<your tenant name>.onmicrosoft.com
Initial password	<a strong password>
Block sign in	No
Department	Sales
Usage location	United States

Second user:

Note: Feel free to add additional fields.

Requirement 3: Manage users

For this requirement you will modify settings for a user. Modify the following settings for the user bulk3:

*You should be able to upload pretty much any image. If you do not have an image, download https://inedemoassets.blob.core.windows.net/taskfiles/images/INE-Certified.png.

Requirement 4: Login as a user

To complete this task, you will log in to the Microsoft Cloud App portal as the bulk1 user. To complete this requirement:

Reset and copy the password for the bulk1 user.
Open an incognito/private browser window.
Login to the portal at https://myapps.microsoft.com as bulk1@<you tenant name>.onmicrosoft.com.

Cleanup

When you have completed this task, you can delete the users bulk1, bulk2, bulk3, and demouser. However, the users bulk1, bulk2, and bulk3 are used in other tasks so you may want to retain them.
