Go here to download your Training Operating System:

http://hackingschool.com/get-tos/

What to do next:

1. Download the ISO image of the Training Operating System

2.

a. Burn the ISO image on a DVD (using Windows built-in app or free ImgBurn) and reboot your computer. Make sure in BIOS that you have selected a CD/DVD drive as 1st boot device. If you need any assistance with that, go here: http://www.wikihow.com/Set-Bios-to-Boot-from-a-CD-ROM, OR

b. Create a new virtual machine using VirtualBox (Windows, MAC) or VMware Fusion (MAC) and add the TOS ISO image to the newly created guest VM. This approach will allow you to use the Training Operating System and your Windows/MAC host at the same time.

3. That's all - you're good to go!

How to setup a new virtual machine in VirtualBox:

1. Click New

2. Type the name you wish to use (e.g. TOS v2.0)

3. Set TYPE to Linux, VERSION to Other Linux and click Next

4. Set the memory size to 1024 MB or more and click Next

5. Select Do not add a virtual hard drive (unless you need one) and click Create

6. Confirm by clicking Continue

7. Click Settings in the main menu

8. Go to Storage, click on Empty disk image below IDE controller

9. Check Live CD/DVD and choose the Training Operating System ISO image you previously downloaded (by clicking the little disc icon on the right side and Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file)

10. Confirm your selection by clicking OK and OK again

Now you have your Training Operating System in place!

It's time to Start the VM.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

PLEASE NOTE that a virtual machine environment can cause some troubles if it comes to hardware emulation and support. E.g. you may face problems with USB WiFi interfaces and the CUDA support might be disabled. If you want to experiment with ARP spoofing and data interception, you should also make these changes:

1. Click on Settings and go to Network

2. Change NAT to Bridged Adapter

3. Click on Advanced and change Promiscuous Mode from Deny to Allow All

4. You may also change the MAC address accordingly to your personal needs

If you need any assistance with Virtual Box, watch this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiWRmMzwwJM. You'll find a proper instruction around 41:30. You can also watch this (less professional) YT video which should throw some light on this issue (it's only 3 minutes long): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rag4LDoBUC0.

PROBLEMS WITH BOOTING THE TRAINING OPERATING SYSTEM OR HARDWARE SUPPORT?

The Training Operating System should work well with most computers available on the market. However, if you have any problems with booting the TOS or making it work with your network adapter (or GPU), you can use any other Linux distribution available, equipped with required software. In such case, our recommendation is KALI LINUX. You can download it here: http://www.kali.org/downloads/

Good luck!
