Figure 1 shows a person connecting a CAT5 cable to a laptop’s RJ45 port. Figure 2 the interior of a house with several rooms on two floors.  There are many wireless networking devices throughout the home.  There is a range extender on the first floor that allows devices that are farther away from the wireless router to connect with a good signal.
