Third-party browsers are applications that can contain a mountain of important data. These applications are installed for various reasons like:

•  Smaller footprint for size-limited devices

•  Faster rendering of webpages for use with slower web connections

•  Compatibility among multiple platforms/operating systems—use your preferred browser on phones, tablets, PCs, etc.

•  Uses less bandwidth

•  Preference

•  Usability

•  Additional security controls—private browsing

•  Better overall user experience —eliminate annoying ad pop-ups and redirects due to tracking

It is important when reviewing devices for browser history that additional third-party browsers are not overlooked, as they are often installed because a user is unhappy with the pre-configured application already installed. While these pre-configured browsers will most often always contain data, the bulk of the internet history could be contained within a third-party application.
