So a server would be a specialized computer that's optimized 0:07:36.780000 --> 0:07:40.860000 to provide services, to provide files and data to other people. 0:07:40.860000 --> 0:07:44.060000 Once again, you know, your laptop at home, you're receiving a bunch of 0:07:44.060000 --> 0:07:48.780000 stuff. But chances are, most likely, other people in the world aren't 0:07:48.780000 --> 0:07:53.580000 trying to get to your laptop, aren't trying to get information from your 0:07:53.580000 --> 0:07:57.040000 laptop, whereas a server, that's exactly what's going on. 0:07:57.040000 --> 0:08:01.040000 And because a lot of people are trying to access a server, that means 0:08:01.040000 --> 0:08:04.860000 there might be some people out there who have sort of bad intentions, 0:08:04.860000 --> 0:08:09.540000 who want to bring the server down or who want to corrupt that information. 0:08:09.540000 --> 0:08:13.740000 So a server has to have more security on it to prevent against people 0:08:13.740000 --> 0:08:17.240000 trying to attack it or to prevent from people trying to delete its files 0:08:17.240000 --> 0:08:21.080000 or something.
